Seeking Advice: Feeling Isolated and a Burden to My Daughter

Hello everyone,

My name is Eva, and I am 70 years old. Lately, I’ve been feeling very isolated and like a burden to my daughter, Eliana. She has been married to her husband, David, for 20 years, and it seems like she prefers not to think about me or my needs. I understand that she has her own life and responsibilities, but this situation has left me feeling very lonely and unwanted.

I don’t want to impose on her or make her feel guilty, but I also don’t know how to cope with these feelings of loneliness and being a burden. I would love to hear from anyone who has been in a similar situation or has advice on how to improve my relationship with my daughter and find a sense of community and purpose at this stage in my life.

Thank you in advance for your kindness and support.

Warm regards,

Eva
