Seeking Advice: Balancing Work and Family Responsibilities

Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out because I’m in a bit of a bind and could really use some advice. My name is Hailey, and I have two young children. My mother, Ruby, has always been a big part of our lives, but recently she has decided that she no longer wants to help with looking after her grandchildren.

I completely understand that she has her own life and needs, but this has put me in a tough spot. I need to work to provide for my family, and finding affordable childcare has been a real struggle. My husband, Henry, works long hours and isn’t able to help much during the day.

I’m feeling overwhelmed and unsure of what to do next. Have any of you been in a similar situation? How did you manage to balance work and family responsibilities without relying on grandparents for childcare? Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated.
