Aaron and Zoe were the kind of couple who believed in the goodness of people. Living in a bustling city in the USA, they had seen their fair share of hardship around them and did what they could to help. Whether it was volunteering at local shelters or simply offering a meal to someone in need, they did it with open hearts. Heather, I think her name is,” one said to the other. “Turns out she’s been pulling the same stunt all over town. Claims she needs money for food, but I’ve seen her getting into a pretty nice car at the end of the day.”

Aaron and Zoe exchanged a look, the realization sinking in. They had been duped by someone who exploited the kindness of strangers, someone who didn’t need the help she so boldly asked for.
