Need Help: Trying to Create Distance Between My Son and His Wife

Hey everyone,

I’m in a bit of a pickle and could really use some advice. My son Andrew got married to Mia a couple of years ago, and honestly, I’ve never been a big fan of hers. I feel like she’s not the right fit for him, and I’ve been trying to create some distance between them, but nothing seems to be working.

I’ve tried subtle things like making small comments about her cooking or the way she keeps the house, but Andrew just brushes it off or defends her. I even tried to get him to spend more time with his friends, like Frank and Logan, hoping he’d see how much more fun he has without her around, but that didn’t work either.

I’m not looking to do anything drastic or mean, just enough to make Andrew start questioning if Mia is really the best match for him. I know some of you might think I’m being overbearing, but I truly believe this is for his own good.

Has anyone been in a similar situation or have any tips on how to handle this? Maybe some subtle ways to plant seeds of doubt or get him to see things from a different perspective? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance,

Cora
