Help! My Neighbor Keeps Dropping By Uninvited and Asking for Stuff

Hey everyone,

I really need some advice on how to handle a tricky situation with my neighbor. So, here’s the deal: my neighbor, Eva, keeps coming over uninvited and always asks for something. It’s always “Hey, can I borrow this?” or “Do you have that?” and it’s starting to drive me nuts. I don’t want to be rude or start a fight because our kids, Ralph and Nova, are really good friends and play together all the time.

I get that neighbors help each other out, but this is getting out of hand. It’s not just once in a while; it’s almost every day! I feel like my home isn’t my own anymore because I’m always on edge, wondering when Eva will show up next. I don’t want to ruin the friendship between our kids, but I also need some boundaries.

Has anyone else dealt with something like this? How do you politely tell someone to back off without causing drama? I thought about just not answering the door, but that feels a bit passive-aggressive. Maybe I should have a direct conversation with her, but I’m worried it will come off as confrontational.

Any tips or advice would be super appreciated! Thanks in advance, guys!
