Help! My Husband Knows Nothing About Our Daughter

Hey everyone,

I really need some advice. I’m feeling super frustrated and don’t know what to do. My husband, Timothy, seems completely clueless about our daughter, Eliana. It’s like he doesn’t even try to get to know her. He doesn’t know how old she is, what her favorite foods are, or even what she’s allergic to. It’s driving me crazy!

I get that traditionally some people think certain things are “a mother’s job,” but come on, it’s 2023! Parenting should be a team effort, right? I feel like I’m doing everything on my own, and it’s exhausting. I want Eliana to have a strong relationship with her dad, but how can that happen if he doesn’t even know the basics about her?

I’ve tried talking to Timothy about it, but he just brushes it off and says he’s too busy with work. I get that he’s stressed, but so am I! I work too, and I still manage to keep track of Eliana’s needs.

Has anyone else been in a similar situation? How did you handle it? Should I keep pushing Timothy to be more involved, or is there a better way to approach this? Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
