Help! My Grandpa Married the Neighbor and Now Ignores Us
Hey everyone,
I really need some advice. My grandpa, Walter, who’s 70, recently got married to our neighbor after my grandma passed away. At first, we were happy for him because we thought he found someone to keep him company. But now, things have taken a weird turn.
Ever since he got married, he’s completely cut off contact with the rest of the family. He won’t answer calls or texts, and he’s even ignoring his grandkids and great-grandkids. It’s like he’s a totally different person. We’re all really worried and don’t know what to do.
Michael and David tried visiting him, but his new wife, Madeline, wouldn’t let them in. She said they were “disturbing” him and that he needed his space. Hannah and Genesis have also tried reaching out, but no luck. It’s breaking our hearts because we used to be so close.
We’re not sure if this is something Walter wants or if Madeline is influencing him. We just want to make sure he’s okay and let him know we still care about him. Has anyone else been through something like this? How did you handle it? Any advice on how to reconnect with him would be super helpful.
Thanks in advance!
