Help! I Regret Calling My Son’s Matchmaker
Hey everyone,
I really need some advice and support right now. So, here’s the deal: My son Dylan wasn’t picking up his phone for a couple of days, and naturally, I started to worry. You know how it is when you can’t reach your kids; your mind goes to the worst places. Anyway, in my panic, I decided to call his matchmaker, Ella, thinking she might have some insight or at least be able to get in touch with him.
Big mistake. Huge.
Ella was super cold and dismissive. She basically told me that Dylan is an adult and can take care of himself, and that I was overreacting. I felt so humiliated and now I’m even more worried because I don’t know if Dylan is okay or if he’s just ignoring me. Plus, I’m regretting involving Ella in this personal matter. It feels like I’ve crossed a line and now I’m not sure how to fix it.
Has anyone else been in a similar situation? How did you handle it? Should I apologize to Ella or just let it go? And what should I do about Dylan? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Vivian
