Help! My Mother-in-Law Won’t Babysit and My Kids Are Disappointed
Hey everyone,
I could really use some advice right now. So, I decided to ask my mother-in-law, Claire, if she could look after my kids for a day. I thought it would be a great idea because the kids absolutely love spending time with their grandma. Plus, I had some important errands to run and could really use the help.
But when I asked Claire, she told me she already had other plans. I totally get that she has her own life and things to do, but now I’m stuck in a bit of a bind. The kids were really looking forward to spending time with her, and now they’re super disappointed. I feel bad for them because they were so excited.
I’m not sure what to do next. Should I try to find someone else to babysit? Or maybe try to reschedule my plans? How do I explain this to the kids without making them feel even worse?
Has anyone else been in a similar situation? How did you handle it? Any tips on how to make it up to the kids or how to better coordinate with Claire in the future would be super helpful.
Thanks a bunch!
