Help! My Boyfriend’s Daughter is Causing Drama at Home

Hey everyone,

I really need some advice and I hope you guys can help me out. So, here’s the deal: I live with my boyfriend, Roy, and from the very beginning, we had this agreement that his daughter, Ania, wouldn’t come over to our place. It’s not that I don’t like her or anything, but I just need my own space and peace at home, you know?

Lately, though, Ania has been coming over more and more often. It’s starting to drive me crazy because I feel like my home isn’t my sanctuary anymore. I talked to Roy about it, but he just brushes it off and says it’s no big deal. But for me, it is a big deal! I feel like I’m losing control over my own living space.

I don’t want to come off as the evil stepmom or anything, but I also don’t want to be miserable in my own home. How do I bring this up with Roy without causing a huge fight? And how do I set boundaries with Ania without making her feel unwelcome?
