Help! My Father-in-Law is Eating Us Out of House and Home

Hey everyone,

I really need some advice here. So, my father-in-law, Albert, has started visiting us a lot more often lately. Don’t get me wrong, I love having guests over, but there’s a bit of a problem. Albert has this habit of eating everything in the house. Like, seriously, he doesn’t leave anything behind.

I’ve tried talking to my wife, Eliana, about it, but it’s been pretty useless. She just brushes it off and says he’s family and we should be hospitable. I get that, but it’s getting out of hand. We’re spending way more on groceries than we used to, and it’s starting to stress me out.

I don’t want to come off as rude or ungrateful, but I also don’t want to keep restocking the fridge every other day. Has anyone else dealt with something like this? How do you politely tell someone to ease up on the food without causing a family feud?

Any tips or advice would be super appreciated. Thanks in advance!
