Help! My Mom Spent My Loan on a Vacation Instead of Surgery

Hey everyone,

I really need some advice and support right now. I’m feeling super lost and don’t know what to do. So, here’s the deal: I took out a huge loan to help my mom, Alice, pay for an urgent surgery she needed. It was a lot of money, and I was really stressed about it, but I thought it was worth it to help her out.

But then, out of nowhere, I find out that she used the money to book a fancy vacation to the beach! Like, seriously? I can’t even wrap my head around it. I mean, I love my mom, but this feels like such a betrayal. Now I’m stuck with this massive debt, and she’s off enjoying herself by the ocean.

I’ve tried talking to her about it, but she just brushes it off and says she needed a break. I get that life can be tough, but this was supposed to be for her health, not a holiday. I’m really struggling to figure out what to do next. Should I confront her more aggressively? Should I try to get the money back somehow? Or do I just accept it and move on?

Any advice from you guys would be super appreciated. Has anyone else been in a similar situation? How did you handle it? Thanks in advance for your help!
