Help! My Fiancé Called Off Our Wedding Because of His Kids

Hey everyone,

I really need some advice and support right now. My fiancé, Dylan, just called off our wedding, and I’m absolutely heartbroken. The reason? His kids from his first marriage, Jacob and Ella, don’t want us to get married.

Dylan and I have been together for three years, and I thought we had a solid relationship. We were planning to get married next summer, and everything seemed perfect. But recently, Jacob and Ella have been very vocal about their disapproval. They think that our marriage would somehow betray their mom, Claire, and they’re worried about how it will change their family dynamics.

Dylan is a great dad, and I understand that his kids are his priority. But I’m struggling to accept that our relationship has to end because of this. I love Dylan, and I thought we were building a future together. Now, I’m left feeling lost and unsure of what to do next.

Has anyone else been in a similar situation? How did you handle it? Should I try to talk to Jacob and Ella and explain my side? Or should I give Dylan some space and hope that he’ll come around? Any advice or words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated.
