As a retiree, I can no longer afford to provide financial help. It seems that’s why I’m no longer needed, as my daughter doesn’t invite me over or visit with my grandson. It’s heartbreaking to realize that perhaps I was only valued for my financial support. I spent my life working hard, often taking multiple jobs, to give my daughter everything she could need.
